Following on from the previous entry (Facebook predicts the next US President), let's have a look at who the world would vote for. Just go to If The World Could Vote.com and vote for McCain or Obama, then check out the results. Not surprisingly Obama is absolute hands-down favourite. 10/10/08, 04:08 PM Facebook has recently launched a new version of Lexicon, a software tool that follows language trends across it's site. With over 100 million users, you'd be hard-pushed to find a more accurate and encompassing language tool. If you take a look at what people are saying about McCain vs Obama and compare the sentiments expressed towards each candidate you'll notice that Obama has consistently come out on top over his rival during the past two weeks. Of course, the demographic this data represents leans heavily towards the young 'connected' generation, not to mention a global population - and hence this does not represent the US on it's own. Still, the results are in - if the global members of Facebook had to vote, Obama would win.
